The Kijiji Fund

Kijiji (kee-JEE-jee): Swahili for village.

 

Participating in therapy can be a genesis moment during one’s path to wellness, signaling a rebirth. My first genesis moment came during a study abroad trip to Kenya, which rebuilt both my worldview and view of myself. While this experience was a personal transformation, it was emboldened by the support of my personal village—my family, friends, and faith. In the same spirit, The Kijiji Fund is a collective village for Black women, financially supporting their efforts to seek mental health services.
